Variable Speed Drives

Variable speed drives control either the motor, or the equipment driven by the motor, i.e. fan, pump, compressor etc., by controlling the speed and rotational force of the electric motor.

As a basic premise motors operate ON or OFF. Full electric power, to match the motor capacity is therefore supplied to the motor at all times when in the ON position.

By using variable speed drives, the speed of the motor can be varied to meet the operational demand by controlling the power to the motor. Reduced power results in reduced energy consumption thereby achieving lower operating costs.

Invertek AC variable speed drives provide energy efficient control across a range of applications that include, fans, pumps, industrial automation, HVAC building services and elevators/lifts.
